Lapa Rios is built in harmony with the surrounding forest and beach environment. The main lodge and bungalows line three ridges connected by walking paths and steps. Built over 350 feet above the sea, Lapa Rios catches the cooling tropical breezes. The main lodge, housing the restaurant and bar, soars 50 feet and is built of local, natural materials. Palm thatched roofs meet a three-story hardwood circular stairway. Climb to overlook the forest canopy and breathtaking ocean vistas. Comfortable, locally made bamboo furniture adds to relaxation in this tranquil panorama of nature.

Set on the banks of the Barú river, located 800 mtrs from the beach and surrounded by impressive tropical forests, the jungle resort Villas Rio Mar awaits you with traditional friendly hospitality.

The hotel features a large swimming pool with wet bar and Jacuzzi, a tennis court, an in-house tour agency, and a romantic palenque style restaurant featuring many local and international dishes. Pirate Cove is a small hotel, consisting of comfortable cabins and bungalows, located on Osa Peninsula, the least developed and most bio-diversified area of Costa Rica. Here, you will experience the true pristine and naturea beauty of Costa Rica and nearby Corcovado National Park.

Our seven cabins are hidden among rainforest trees on our own 2 kilometer (l mile) deserted beach on the Pacific Ocean.

Drake Bay is an oasis of natural beauty and peace in our increasingly hectic world. We offer a simpler lifestyle that is more in tune with nature. However, our version of eco-tourism doesn't mean you'll sleep rough! Our beds have orthopedic mattresses. All cabins and bungalows at Pirate Cove Hotel have hot water showers and 24-hour electricity.
