Day 3
After breakfast at your gracious hotel with its incredible views of the volcano, a horseback riding tour has been planned for you. You will explore the area on horseback on a tour that passes by the great Arenal Lake .

Day 4
Today's special treat is the guided Honeycreeper Canoe Trip down a calm water/small rapids river where you will see all manner of wild life - birds, butterflies, frogs, monkeys, iguanas and more - in their natural habitat. After lunch on the river, enjoy a swim and a gentle paddle down river and then back to your hotel.
Day 5 - Manuel Antonio

In the afternoon we leave for the 4-hour ride to the Pacific Coast and Manuel Antonio Beach, Costa Rica's most famous beach resort area. The hotel where you will stay in Manuel Antonio is gay-owned and operated exclusively for gays, lesbians and their friends. It is nestled in the jungle where the best hotels and restaurants are located and within walking distance of the world famous Manuel Antonio National Park .

Day 8
In the morning, we have scheduled a wonderful Mangrove Estuary Tour with its unique ecosystem. Spend most of the day on the beach and return to San Jose in the afternoon.

Day 9 - San José

The gay-owned hotel where you will two nights is located in the historic Barrio Amon section. Its secluded garden keeps out the street hustle and bustle of downtown San Jose .

Today we have scheduled a favorite Costa Rica tour: the Butterfly Farm and Coffee Tour.

Day 10 - Caribbean Coast

On the way to the Caribbean Coast , you will ride the aerial tram, a unique and exciting experience for nature lovers and one of the best ways to enjoy the rainforest.

Your hotel overlooking the sea in Cahuita with its cabins is typical of the Caribbean Coast . We will reserve a room with a Jacuzzi and air conditioning. The Caribbean side is very different from the rest of Costa Rica . It is off the beaten track, with a cuisine typical of the Caribbean islands, deserted beaches and all the peace and quiet you could ask for.

Day 11

A tour of the Indian Reservation near the town of Cahuita has been planned for you. It is the only place you will see the indigenous people who once populated this area before the Spanish came. There numbers have become small and the government has taken step to help them preserve their language and culture.

Day 12
After a delicious breakfast with that wonderful Costa Rican coffee, served in an open-air dining room with the sea hitting the shore, you will have time to stroll through Cahuita National Park with your Exotur guide. Watch for white-faced monkeys, howler monkeys, iguanas and other jungle animals.
Day 13

Leaving Cahuita around the middle of the day, we will stop in Braulio Carillo National Park with its abundant vegetation, innumerable rivers and waterfalls. The picturesque ride back to San Jose takes you through the cloud forest. You will arrive back in time to rest and prepare for your farewell dinner in San Jose .

The following morning, we will get you to the airport in plenty of time to make your flight back home.
